The problem we're solving

AI agents are shipping. Governance isn't.

Enterprises are deploying AI copilots, autonomous workflows, and agent-to-agent systems faster than the guardrails can catch up. Observability tells you what happened. Guardrails filter prompts. Neither of them stops a rogue action before dispatch, and neither of them signs a decision you can hand to a regulator.

Runtime governance is a new category, and it needs three things at once: a signed chain of custody for every agent action, an authority model that traces every hop of delegation, and enforcement that fires in under 50ms at the perimeter. That's what we build.

Fifteen years designing enterprise platforms for high-consequence environments — DoD, Cisco, P&G, Honeywell, Caterpillar, John Deere. The pattern I kept seeing: production systems where "what did this thing just do?" was a question nobody could answer with signed evidence.

The KYA paper (2026) formalized what a governance layer for autonomous agents looks like. Veldt is the implementation — Apache-2.0 kernel, commercial extensions, sovereign deployment for regulated buyers.

The runtime kernel is Apache 2.0. If it can't be verified without us, it isn't governance.

Signed, not asserted

Every decision produces a cryptographic record. Trust survives us being wrong or gone.
